Oil tempered spring wires according to EN 10270/2 FD/VD/TD

TECHNICAL SHEET FD-SICR

Quality: Oil tempered spring wires according to EN 10270/2 FDSiCr

Diameter: from mm 0.40 to 13.00 – Tolerances on the second wire diameter EN10270/2

Heat treatment:
– As soon as possible after coiling, the springs should be stress relieved as indicative parameter we recommend at T=420 ± 5°C Time 30 min (Indicative values)
– Shot peening.
– Shot peening of the inside of the spring coils is particularly critical. as indicative parameter we recommend at T=250 ± 10°C Time 30 min (Indicative values).

After shot peening, the springs should be hot preset or stress relieved. In order to reach optimal fatigue and relaxationproperties the springs must be preset at an appropriate stress.

Elastic Modulus: E= 206 GPa (Indicative value)
Shear Modulus: G= 79,5 GPa (Indicative value)

TECHNICAL SHEET VD-SICR

Quality:  Alloyed tempered spring wires according to EN 10270/2 VDSiCr

Diameter: Diameter from mm 0.40 to 13.00 – Tolerances according to EN 10270/2

Heat treatment:
– As soon as possible after coiling, the springs should bestress relieved as indicative parameter we recommend at T=240º ± 5°C Time 30 min (Indicative values).
– Shot peening.
– In order to obtain optimal fatigue properties, the process time should be adjusted to get a complete treatment. Size of shots should be adapted to wire dimension, pitch and shot peening equipment. Shot peening of the inside of the spring coils is particularly critical; as indicative parameterwe recommend at T=250 ± 10°C Time 30 min (Indicative values)
